Taylor Swift - Taylor Swift hasn't met her perfect man
Taylor Swift is annoyed she is perceived as a serial dater, but refuses to let the negativity prevent her from having guy friends.
Taylor Swift insists she hasn't met her perfect man and is annoyed that she is perceived as a serial dater.
The '22' singer - who split with One Direction's Harry Styles in February - says she resents society's attitude towards successful women, but refuses to let the negativity prevent her from having guys as friends.
Taylor - who covers the November issue of Glamour - fumed to the magazine: ''Well the way it works, as I've learned recently is if you reach a point in your career where things are going very well, public perception needs a 'Yeah, she's been on a lotta dates apparently.' 'Yeah, I hear she's crazy.' I think you'll find it has a lot to do with being a woman. And I resent that.''
''There has to be some downside to your personality or lifestyle if you're a woman and successful. But I'm not gonna say to my guy friends, 'No, I can't go to lunch because people will say we're dating.' I just reject the idea I have to change the way I live my life.''
The 23-year-old beauty claims becoming obsessed with tabloid stories would eventually lead to ''insanity'' so she chooses to focus her energy solely on her music.
She explained: ''You can be obsessed with the bad things people say and the good things, either way you're obsessed with yourself and I'm not--you can become unhinged so easily,''
''Vanity can apply to both insecurity and egotism. So I distance myself, because I feel everything. The little I am exposed to hurts my feelings. The only things I can really control are my songs and my behaviour. The rest? If I focused on it, that would lead to insanity.''
