Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has signed up to become the butt of his pals' jokes at an upcoming comedy roast in Columbus, Ohio.

The masked rocker will be targeted by bandmate Shawn 'Clown' Crahan, Anthrax's Scott Ian and Sebastian Bach at the bash, while professional comedians including Jim Florentine, Brian Posehn, Don Jamieson and Craig Gass will also poke fun at Taylor during the Rock & Roll Roast Comedy Series on 15 May (14).

A statement released by Taylor reads: "Honestly, I don't know what to say. I'm a little nervous, a little excited, and of course a little gassy. But that could just be the excitement.

"I'm really looking forward to it, but knowing my friends and the possibilities for who could be a part of this, I have no idea what I'm getting into!"

The heavy rocker won't be the first musician to take part in the charity roast - Zakk Wylde and Dee Snider laughed off comedy insults during previous events in 2012 and 2013.
