Seth Rogen - Seth Rogen: I'm a nerd in real life

Seth Rogen says people are often ''disappointed'' when they meet him because he isn't the same as is wacky movie characters.

The comedy actor admits he is a ''nerd'' in his normal life and he believes his real personality leaves people yearning for the party guy he has portrayed in films such as 'Superbad' and 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin'.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, he revealed: ''People meet me and expect me to have, like, one of those beer-can hats on my head. It leads to disappointed people, a lot. It leads to people slowly realising that I'm just, like, a f***ing nerd who works all the time.''

The 32-year-old star added: ''I'm not some crazy lunatic who is doing cocaine off a stripper's ass all the time. I'm married, I have a dog, I spend a lot of time at home. I work a lot. I do go to parties like that, but not that often.''

Rogan's quiet life with his wife, actress-and-writer Lauren Miller, is a world away from the antics in his latest movie 'This Is The End', which sees the star attend a wild house party when the apocalypse strikes.

Seth co-stars in the comedy with good friends Jonah Hill and James Franco, while there are cameos from Rihanna and Emma Watson, however, he admits he didn't strike up a friendship with either famous babe.

He said: ''If any of us had a party it wouldn't be weird if any of these people were there. Except Emma and Rihanna because them, we didn't know at all. But we're friends with everyone else in the movie and we see them socially.''
