Russell Crowe - Russell Crowe: 'I Don't Think I'll Be Returning For Man Of Steel Sequel'
Actor Russell Crowe will not be reprising his role as Superman's father in the Man Of Steel sequel.
The Noah star, who played Jor-El in the 2013 film, was killed off by Michael Shannon's character General Zod but later appeared as a hologram, guiding Superman to defeat his nemesis.
However, Crowe believes his time as Jor-El - a role previously played on the big screen by Marlon Brando - will not be back for the sequel, because of the new direction the film is taking.
He tells Yahoo Movies, "I don't think they're going to use me again. I think they're jumping onto a different stream.
"You know, they're going with the different superhero worlds colliding (this time)."
The highly-anticipated blockbuster, which features Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman, is set to hit cinemas in 2016.
