Russell Brand - Russell Brand Writing Children's Books
British funnyman Russell Brand is venturing into the children's book market by writing his own versions of classic tales.
The actor/comedian's first challenge will be an adaptation of famous folk story The Pied Piper of Hamelin, and Brand thinks his version will change the way children see the world.
Announcing the project in a video posted on his YouTube.com account, Brand says, "It's the first of a series called Russell Brand's Trickster Tales, where I do interpretations of fairy stories and folk tales, believing them to be the code to unlock aspects of our consciousness, and to affect and impact the way that we see the world... Once we start changing the way children see the world, we can do all sorts of stuff."
The book, illustrated by Chris Riddell, will be released in November (14) by publishing house Canongate Books.
The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star has previously released two memoirs in 2007 and 2010.
