Rivera Reveals Why He Took Down Half-naked Selfie Pic
Geraldo Rivera says that Fox News did not force him to remove his now-infamous selfie photo of himself dressed only in a towel. Conceding that he took the photo after having a couple of drinks at around 2:30 a.m., he said that the first negative reaction came when he received an email from his daughter the next morning, saying, in all caps, TAKE THAT THING DOWN. He told WPLJ co-hosts Scott Shannon and Todd Pettengill that he didn't get the same message from Fox News until the next day. So, why did he post the photo to begin with? Tequila, he replied, noting that he had receive several bottles for his 70th birthday. It was the second drink that did it, he said. After the second one, my fate was sealed.
