Rita Ora was scared to tell Calvin Harris about her feelings
Rita Ora worried about revealing her feelings for her DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris as the pair wrote her latest track 'I Will Never Let You Down' together.
Rita Ora was scared to reveal her feelings to Calvin Harris.
The 23-year-old singer - who worked with her producer-boyfriend Calvin on her latest track 'I Will Never Let You Down' - was nervous about putting her feelings for him down in words and worried it would jinx their relationship.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper, she revealed: ''I thought it was a bad idea. I said, 'I don't know what's gonna happen, babe.' All that political s**t, I didn't want to think about it. But when we started to write, it happened so naturally it felt right.
''There was a moment when we were like, you know, we're both known. It could become difficult. This message, I won't let you down, is a message of hope. It's the little reality that we do have left in this... [fame bubble].''
The BRIT Award nominee also admitted she has struggled to stay close to old friends since she shot into the public spotlight with her 2012 track 'Hot Right Now' as they couldn't come to terms with her fame.
She said: ''I have had some [friends] that you don't even recognise any more. It can be scary when people start to act weird around you. They even ask if they can go to the toilet.
''People say 'Rita has changed' but we are supposed to change. You have a career to change for the better and to succeed.
''It's not your job to persuade friends that you are the same. They have to accept I am going to change because I am working my b****y arse off.
''But you shouldn't worry about it, you should worry about your album and your shows.''
