Rihanna was mobbed by a crowd of fans in Paris, France as she filmed a secret video on Thursday (18Dec14).
With just a few hours notice, the Diamonds hitmaker asked fans to meet her at the Trocadero in Paris, set against the scenic backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, according to French fansite Rebellerihanna.com.
Devotees were told to be at the landmark at a specific time, and the call for extras revealed they would be filming a video sequence for Rihanna's upcoming album R8, which is due out next year (15).
When the pop star arrived at the scene, she exited her car and ran towards around 100 screaming fans, who crowded around her. She was lifted up on the shoulders of a bodyguard, and waved to the crowd as they held up cameras and cell phones to capture the moment.
However, Rihanna didn't stay long - she only filmed with her fans for around five minutes, according to the Daily Mail.
She later took to Instagram.com to post a candid shot from the harried yet brief meeting, and wrote the caption, "Ran off set of an editorial shoot, straight into the arms of my fans... thank you French navy (fans)'.
