Ridley Scott - Ridley Scott says script for Blade Runner sequel is complete

Ridley Scott has revealed the script for the 'Blade Runner' sequel is complete.

What's more, the website Den of Geek reports that the much-hyped new film will feature Hollywood legend Harrison Ford, who starred in the original 1982 sci-fi movie.

Harrison - who is best known for his appearances in the 'Star Wars' and 'Indiana Jones' franchises -played the role of Deckard in the original flick, a character who is hired to track down and kill rogue artificial humans.

The 72-year-old actor recently injured himself while filming the latest instalment of the 'Star Wars' films, 'Star Wars: Episode VII', but that doesn't appear to have diminished Scott's eagerness to have him appear in the 'Blade Runner' sequel.

It does, however, remain unclear whether he will be asked to reprise the role he played in the original film or whether he will feature in a different position entirely.

No details about the plot have emerged but Scott, 76, insists that the script - which is co-written by one of the original film's screenwriters Hampton Fancher, as well as 'Green Lantern' writer Michael Green - is ''damn good''.
