Richard Attenborough - Richard Attenborough Is Still In Love After 72 Years

Veteran actor/director Richard Attenborough and his wife Sheila Sim insist they still manage to keep their love alive, 72 years after they first met.

The Oscar-winning moviemaker, who turns 90 on Thursday (29Aug13), has revealed the couple still holds hands every day at the specialist care home in London where they now live.

His close friend and former colleague Terence Clegg tells Britain's Daily Mail, "I saw him just on Friday, he's frail, he's very quiet now but he's lovely and he's in good hands. He's being well looked after and he just holds Sheila's hand and they're as much in love today as they were 72 years ago. I'm happy to say he's really in good form."

The besotted couple met when they were studying at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (Rada) in 1941 and wed four years later.
