Rapper Yung Berg was arrested on Wednesday (05Nov14) for allegedly harming his girlfriend during a bust-up.

The hip-hop star, real name Christian Ward, clashed with his partner during a heated argument at the Gershwin Hotel in New York.

According to Tmz.com, he was arrested by police officers in the early hours of Wednesday morning for "obstruction of breathing" after he allegedly grabbed her round the neck.

Berg was still in custody as Wenn went to press.
