Peaches Geldof - Peaches Geldof In Hot Water Over Ian Watkins Tweets

British socialite Peaches Geldof is facing a possible police probe after allegedly naming the two women facing sentencing on child sex offences alongside disgraced rocker Ian Watkins.

The Lostprophets frontman appeared in court on Tuesday (26Nov13) and pleaded guilty to a string of sickening acts, including two charges of attempting to rape a baby.

He was in the dock alongside two unnamed women, aged 21 and 24, who also admitted a number of offences, including abusing their own children and offering them to Watkins for sex.

Following their pleas, Geldof took to Twitter.com to demand that they are publicly shamed in the press, before reportedly posting their names to her 165,000 followers after discovering them on U.S. site.

She subsequently removed the message, but wrote, "The papers Must name 'woman A & B' who offered up their own babies to this monster in the hopes of being close to their (majorly talentless) musical hero without a backward glance, as they are equal in their monstrosity.

"It sickens me to see just how far the cult of celebrity and super fandom (sic) has come when grown women are passing their own kids round. I hate the world sometimes."

The Attorney General's office has now released a statement to warn that revealing the names online is a criminal offence, leaving Geldof at risk of a police investigation.

The message reads, "We understand that the names of the co-defendants in the Ian Watkins case were posted online but have now been removed.

"As has been previously reported, the co-defendants were the mothers of the victims. Victims of sexual offences have automatic lifetime anonymity and the publication of names or information which can lead to their being identified is a criminal offence. This is a police matter."

Watkins and his co-defendants will be sentenced on 18 December (13).
