Tragic actor Paul Walker will be cremated and his ashes buried in a private memorial service this weekend (14-15Dec13), according to reports.
The Fast & Furious star, who died in a car crash on 30 November (13), will be mourned by his family as his remains are interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills.
An invite-only second gathering, which is expected to be attended by Walker's movie co-stars, is also due to take place in the coming days, although details of that service have yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, Walker's Jiu-Jitsu teacher from the Paragon Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing academy in California has remembered his star pupil with an honourary black belt. The actor had worked with martial arts instructor Ricardo 'Franjinha' Miller for nine years and included some of his moves in the Fast & Furious films.
Miller says, "Like the Spartan setting of the gym, he was simple and unpretentious. Although he came looking for lessons in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, our bond went beyond the student and teacher dynamic. We became fast friends...
"He always wanted to showcase Jiu-Jitsu in his movies. Rather than the punches and kicks so common to many action films, he wanted to use his movies as a stage for Jiu-Jitsu... Paul would always tell me that he did not just want to be known for fast cars. He wanted to be known for fast cars and Jiu-Jitsu. He wanted to be an ambassador for Jiu-Jitsu."
Walker perished when the Porsche Carrera Gt his pal Roger Rodas was driving crashed into a lamp post and exploded in Santa Clarita, California.
Autopsy results revealed he died from traumatic and thermal injuries. Police are continuing to probe the cause of the accident, although their investigation findings are not expected to be released for at least 90 days.
