Onerepublic - Oneone Republic Turning Holiday Show Into Flood Fundraiser
Pop stars Onerepublic are turning their annual holiday concert into a charity fundraiser to aid those affected by the recent flooding in their native Colorado.
The Apologize hitmakers, fronted by singer Ryan Tedder, will perform in Denver for the third consecutive year this December (13) and they have pledged to donate proceeds to help the recovery effort in the state following days of heavy rain, which resulted in the deaths of eight people and the destruction of 1,500 homes to date.
They have also raised the price of the tickets to the special show in a bid to boost flood funds.
In a series of posts on Twitter.com, a band representative writes, "3rd Denver Acoustic Christmas Charity Concert: Dec 20 Ogden Theatre $$ (money) Goes to Colorado flood victims!! Help Them! Tix (tickets) on sale This Saturday... This years' Acoustic Christmas is a Flood Relief show. Colorado could use some help... We have increased the ticket price due to the recent tragic flood in our state. More devastation = more help needed."
