One Direction - One Direction Stadium Tour Causes Upset
British boyband One Direction's upcoming stadium tour concert has caused outrage on both sides of the Atlantic.
The Story Of My Life hitmakers' show at the 80,000-capacity At&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in August (14) has upset fans of the Dallas Cowboys football team as it threatens to interfere with the pre-season programme.
Club officials are discussing whether to change the team's training dates or use a different stadium, a move which could cost them up to $11.2 million (£7 million) in lost ticket sales.
The tour has also caused upset in Dublin, Ireland - the boyband is due to play at the city's Croke Park Stadium on 23 May (14), and thousands of fans are expected to descend on the area for the event.
The predicted influx of concert-goers has prompted officials to change the location of a polling station which was due to open near to the venue on the day of the gig for the local and European elections.
The move has angered many local residents, who will now have to travel further afield to cast their votes.
Local councillor Niall Ring says of the decision, "They're (locals) particularly annoyed that this decision has been made because of a concert in Croke Park."
The Where We Are tour kicks off in Colombia on 25 April (14).
