Oasis - Oasis Guitarist Bonehead: 'I Would Join A Reunion For No Fee'

Oasis guitarist Paul 'bonehead' Arthurs would agree to reuniting the band without a second thought - and he'd happily hit the stage for free.

Rumours of the Wonderwall hitmakers reforming surfaced once again last month (Apr14) when singer Liam Gallagher shared the band's name one letter at a time on his Twitter.com page, prior to a pub meeting with his former guitarist.

Several British bookmakers quickly suspended betting on the band appearing at the Glastonbury festival in June (14), but event bosses have denied the group was ever in the running to appear.

The guitarist has now made his support for a possible reunion gig clear, but insists he has no idea if it will ever happen, telling British radio station Xfm, "I'd be there like a shot and I'd do it for nothing... I don't know (if it will ever happen)! Don't ask me! Who knows, stranger things have happened. But I don't know. You're asking the wrong person for that."

Following the rumours of an Oasis reunion songwriter Noel Gallagher joked that he would agree to regroup in exchange for half a billion condoms or teabags.

The group split in 2009 after estranged brothers Noel and Liam fell out on tour. This year (14) marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the band's groundbreaking debut album Definitely Maybe.

Arthurs left the band in 1999, during the recording of Oasis' fourth album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants. He was replaced by Gem Archer, who went on to form Beady Eye with Liam Gallagher.
