Ne-yo - Ne-yo Suing Former Manager Over Allegations Of Fraud
Ne-Yo is taking his former manager to court amid accusations he conned the R&B star out of $4.5 million (£2.65 million).
The Closer hitmaker claims Kevin Foster convinced the singer to allow his accounting company to look after his funds in 2005, but after recently hiring a new firm to oversee his financial affairs, Ne-Yo discovered his "trusted adviser" had been making a number of questionable transactions.
According to the lawsuit, filed in New York's Manhattan Federal Court this week (ends01Aug14), Foster reportedly made unauthorised transfers from his accounts and allegedly committed fraud by forging Ne-Yo's name on loan documents to invest money in a financially-strapped water company the defendant was president of.
Ne-Yo is demanding the return of $4.5 million (£2.65 million), in addition to the $3.5 million (£2 million) the star had paid Foster in fees over the years, reports the New York Daily News.
