Mrs - Mrs. Brown's Boys Enjoys Second Week As U.k. Chart-topper
Cult British comedy Mrs. Brown's Boys D'movie landed a second week at the top of the U.K. box office by scooping $3.5 million (£2.1 million) in ticket sales over the weekend (04-06Jul14).
The film, a spin-off of U.K. sitcom Mrs. Brown's Boys, held off competition from The Fault in Our Stars, which took $1.6 million (£961,000), to hold on to the number one position.
Comedy sequel 22 Jump Street remained in third place, with weekend takings of $1.1 million (£663,000), and animated action movie How to Train Your Dragon 2 took fourth, with $807,000 (£475,000).
The weekend's only new release, comedy Tammy, rounded out the top five, with ticket sales of $800,000 (£471,000).
