Motorhead - Motorhead Axe Another Gig Over Lemmy's Illness

Rockers Motorhead have cancelled another concert as frontman Lemmy recovers from illness.

The British band axed a performance at Austria's See-Rock Festival last Saturday (22Jun13) and another show in Italy on Tuesday (25Jun13), and the promotion company behind the Milan gig suggested that the singer, who recently underwent heart surgery, was suffering with a "severe haematoma" - a localised collection of blood outside the blood vessels.

The report has not been confirmed by the group or by Lemmy, but the rockers have now cancelled another gig - their set at Germany's With Full Force festival on Friday night (28Jun13) will no longer take place.

However, a representative for the star has spoken out to re-assure fans about Lemmy's health.

A post on his Facebook.com page reads, "We are happy to announce that despite rumors to the contrary, Lemmy is alive, breathing, talking, f**king, drinking, eating, reading and will be back to playing shows shortly.

"As reported, he did undergo a Motor-pit-stop for some medical maintenance this past spring, and the timing of his recent illness was unfortunate in that it came so soon after that. Lemmy & Co believe in the 'keep calm and carry on' way of thinking. Fans can anticipate more Motorhead live action this summer..."

Beck

Some artists need no introduction and some don’t even need a surname, this is particularly true when it comes to Beck. it’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years single he released ‘Loser’. Since then he’s become a musical pioneer who's experimented with everything from rock to electro and beyond. He’s also not afraid to be a little avant-garde, after all he released a album of sheet music in 2012. His latest offering ‘Morning Phase’ has just come out to glowing reviews, so you can expect to hear some new tracks mixed in with the classics that we came to love him for.

Bastille

Bastille have already stormed their native U.K. with the single ‘Pomepeii’, from their debut album, ‘Bad Blood’. Now the indie four piece are taking their unique sound across the Atlantic to play on the Friday. Their live performances are known for being energetic so get ready to jump and wave your arms as you indulge in a bit of indie magic. Queens of the Stone Age

Queens of the Stone Age will warm up the stage for Muse on Saturday. The California natives released ‘ …Like Clockwork’ last year and are rounding up their performances in support of the record. OutKast, Muse and Arcade Fire headline Coachella 4015063 News

OutKast, Muse and Arcade Fire will headline this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Hip-hop act OutKast, featuring Andre 3000 and Big Boi, are reuniting for the event at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California in April.

Coachella's Twitter account posted a photograph of the full line-up today (09.01.14), along with message: ''Share it like a polaroid picture! OutKast, Muse, Arcade Fire + more #Coachella. (sic)'', in reference to OutKast's hit song 'Hey Ya' from their 2003 album 'The Love Below'.

OutKast were already rumoured to be on the bill after producer Rico Wade told music website Stereogum they would be reforming after a seven-year hiatus.

Other big acts set to perform include Queens of the Stone Age, Pharrell Williams, the Replacements, Beck, Lana Del Rey, the Knife, Foster the People, and Motorhead.

Newcomers HAIM, Lorde, and Disclosure also received top billings for the event, which takes place from Friday, April 11 to 18.

Tickets for Coachella 2014 have been on sale since May last year but today's announcement caused Coachella.com to crash within minutes of the line-up being posted.

OutKast haven't worked together since they created the soundtrack for the 2006 musical film, 'Idlewild', and have been discussing a reunion for some time.

Since 2007, they have been on hiatus and both members have pursued solo careers, although the group moved to Epic Records in 2011.

Riot Fest Poster

It's time to start making preparations for one of the loudest festivals of the year: Riot Fest 2013 featuring headline sets from the likes of Pixies, The Replacements and Blink-182.

Taking place in Chicago on September 13th - 15th 2013 at Humboldt Park, Riot Fest is set to be possibly THE hottest punk festival of the year having been staging some of the biggest rock legends since its inception in 2005. It's bigger and better than ever before and there isn't just live music to enjoy either; there's an array of carnival rides and Lucha Libre plus a massive range of meal choices suitable for everyone.

Aside from those already mentioned, among some of the big acts to hit Chicago this fall are classics in the form of Fall Out Boy, Violent Femmes, Rancid and Blondie who will all be up there with the headliners, not to mention the smaller but nonetheless legendary names such as AFI, Public Enemy, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Taking Back Sunday and All Time Low. If you can't make it to Chicago this year, remember Riot Fest 2013 will also hit Denver on September 21st - 22nd and Toronto on August 24th - 25th with slightly different line-ups but the same amount of punk paradise.

Lemmy Gets His Warts Licked 2545344 News

Motorhead singer Lemmy has groupies who want to suck his warts

The 65-year-old heavy metal frontman famously has two large warts on his left cheek - which some crazed fans are desperate to touch.

Filmmaker Wes Orshoski - who has made a documentary, titled 'Lemmy' about the star - told BANG Showbiz: "We met this girl, this groupie in Philadelphia on the Metal Masters tour, she was showing her boobs to everyone, and she told me, she sucked on his warts. She was very pleased about it.

"I've never touched his warts, at least with any intention of doing so."

The co-director, who made the film alongside Greg Olliver, also told how despite being an older gentleman, the 'Overkill' rocker still doesn't have any trouble getting young groupies.

Greg said: "Many, many times did he disappear with women. There was something we wanted to film with him on our last day in Moscow.

"In the crowd there's always like one beautiful girl in the crowd vying for Lemmy's attention. This one was deadly gorgeous, super hot. We just wanted to film one little thing backstage with him after, and his assistant came out, and he was like, 'oh, no - no, no, no boys; that girl's in there now and you are not going in there!

"Three hours later they left and she had a weird look on her face and so did he. He still gets the girls."

Wes added: "I think when he wants to he takes a girl home, he's a 65 year old guy, some nights he just wants to read his book, but he still gets loads of girls."

'Lemmy' is released in UK cinemas from December 3 and will be out on DVD from January 24th.

Lemmy 'Met His Match' In Nolan Sisters 1675686 News MOTORHEAD star LEMMY has laughed off rumours he once enjoyed a fling with a member of THE NOLANS - insisting the singing siblings turned down his efforts to bed them.
The rocker was "in awe" of the all-female band after meeting them backstage at U.K. TV show Top of the Pops, and their encounter sparked gossip of an affair.
But Lemmy has confessed he never got to fulfil his wish of romancing one of the sisters - because they were too streetwise to fall for his charms.
He tells Britain's Q magazine, "No (there was no fling), but it wasn't for the want of trying. They are awesome chicks. People forget those girls were onstage with Frank Sinatra at the age of 12. They've seen most things twice.
"We were on Top of the Pops at the same time as them and our manager was trying to chat up Linda: the one with the bouffant hair and the nice boobs. He dropped his lighter and bent down to pick it up. Linda said to him, 'While you're down there, why don't you give me a...' It blew him away. We didn't expect that from a Nolan sister. None of us did.
"We were supposed to be the smelliest, loudest motherf**kers in the building but we more than met our match. We were in awe. You couldn't mess with the Nolan sisters."

Lemmy: 'Hendrix Was The King Of Sex, Drugs & Rock 'N' Roll' 1726523 News Hard-living MOTORHEAD star LEMMY insists no one will ever be able to top JIMI HENDRIX's rock star credentials - because he was the best guitarist, drug user, womaniser and sex soldier the world has ever known.
The Ace of Spades hitmaker worked as Hendrix's roadie and drug dealer in 1967 - and still revels in tales of the late guitar great's debauchery.
Lemmy says, "I'd score acid for him. I'd get 10 tabs, and he'd take seven and give me three, which I thought was very reasonable.
"He was great, a perfect old-school gentlemen - if a girl came into the room, he'd shoot to his feet."
But it was Hendrix's bedroom antics that impressed Lemmy the most: "If you wanted to see some athletic f**king, Jimi was the boy for it. I'd never seen anything like it - there were always lines of chicks going nuts outside his dressing room. It was like, 'Take a number and wait.'"
And Lemmy insists no one comes close to Hendrix as a guitarist: "He played rhythm and lead at the same time, under his leg, behind his back, left and right, upside down... God bless Eddie Van Halen, he's nowhere near. Hendrix did it all, and when he died, it stopped."
