Marianne Faithfull - Marianne Faithfull Defends Mick Jagger Over Balcony Photos

British singer Marianne Faithfull predicts Sir Mick Jagger will resume his bed-hopping antics following the death of his longterm partner L'wren Scott.

Scott took her own life at her apartment in New York in March (14), and 1960s icon Faithfull reached out to her ex-lover following the tragedy, sending him a heartfelt email.

The Rolling Stones star hit headlines when he was pictured with a mystery woman on his hotel balcony just three months after Scott's death, but Faithfull is adamant it is wrong to criticise the grieving rocker.

She also suspects Jagger had his eye on the unnamed woman even before the tragedy, and suggests she will not be the only lady helping him to move on.

When asked about the negative coverage attracted by the photos of Jagger and the mystery woman, Faithfull tells The Sunday Times Magazine, "That's absurd! That's real English, middle-class, puritanical bulls**t! Give him a break, he loves women. Why shouldn't he? I don't even think she was another girl afterwards. I think she'd already been picked out. Anyway, I hope he has a much better time with the new girl. Of course, he's going to find a new girl."
