London Grammar - London Grammar & Arctic Monkeys Lead Aim Independent Music Awards

London Grammar and the Arctic Monkeys lead the list of nominees for Britain's AIM Independent Music Awards.

London Grammar are up for Best Live Act, Independent Breakthrough of The Year, Independent Track of The Year (Strong) and Independent Album of The Year (If You Wait), while Arctic Monkeys have been tipped for the Independent Album of The Year (Am) and Independent Track of The Year (Do I Wanna Know?) honours.

Future Islands have also picked up multiple nods for Independent Breakthrough of The Year and Independent Track of The Year (Seasons (Waiting On You)).

Other big-name nominees include Five Finger Death Punch and Sophie Ellis-Bextor (Best Live Act),

The Pretty Reckless (Best 'Difficult' Second Album), and Cabaret Voltaire and the Small Faces (Special Catalogue Release Of The Year).

The awards will be handed out at a ceremony next month (Sep14).
