Kimberley Walsh admits she protects her unborn baby more than herself, resulting in a ''silly'' accident last week that saw her sustain a broken wrist.
Kimberley Walsh broke her wrist in a ''silly'' accident.
The former Girls Aloud singer - who is expecting her first child with partner Justin Scott - suffered the injury in a fall at home last week and admitted she is so protective over her unborn baby, she doesn't take as good care of herself as she should.
Explaining her injury, she said: ''I slipped on a mat by the back door... You don't protect yourself so well but you protect the baby, so you end up doing silly things!''
The 'Sound of the Underground' singer was checked over in hospital and had an ultrasound scan to ensure her baby was OK.
Though she was in awe of the picture on screen, Kimberley didn't look to closely as she didn't want to find out the gender of the tot.
Writing in her column for the new edition of OK! magazine, she said: ''I could see every little detail of its hands - although I didn't look down; I don't want to know the sex!''
The 32-year-old beauty has been in a relationship with Justin for 10 years and seems hopeful that marriage is on the cards.
She said: ''Maybe Justin will ask when I don't expect it!''
The new issue of OK! is on sale today (01.04.14). Visit www.ok.co.uk for further information.
