Kerry Washington's family help her relax.

The 'Scandal' star, who has daughter Isabelle, seven months, with husband Nnamdi Asomugha, credits them for helping her to wind down after a long day of playing political crisis manager Olivia Pope on set.

The 37-year-old actress said: ''I have so much going on. I just try to stay present and appreciate my family.

''It's very un-Olivia Pope of me, but at the end of the day I don't have a glass of red wine. When I walk in the door, it's all about my family. It's touching base, you know?''

Olivia gets up at 6am every day to make sure she has enough time to exercise.

She told PEOPLE magazine: ''I like to get up early and work out, and I love the Glow brand of juice. I'm a big Pilates girl. Lately I've also been trying to do the Oprah and Deepak 21-day meditation.''

She also stays in shape by sticking to healthy snacks.

She said: ''I'm big on water - I can down a bottle of SmartWater. And almonds. I'm a big almonds girl.''
