Kendall Jenner has threatened to sue a waitress who accused the model of throwing money in her face.

The 18-year-old reality TV star has sent a letter to Mercer Kitchen server Blaine Morris in which she admitted she accidentally forgot to pay her bill, but denied the rest of the employee's account of what happened when she confronted Kendall and her friend Hailey Baldwin outside the New York restaurant.

Kendall's lawyer, Marty Singer, says in the letter that the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star was ''extremely apologetic'' when the waitress spoke to her and was glad to pay what she owed, $33 plus a $7 tip, and ''politely handed'' over the money.

The lawyer went on to allege Blaine - who appeared in US TV show 'Skins' - had ''concocted a fictionalised account'' of the incident to get publicity.

According to website TMZ, the note read: ''Although you are working as a waitress at Mercer Kitchen, I understand you are also a struggling actress.

''You no doubt concocted a fictionalised account of your encounter with my client in order to create publicity for yourself.''

Following Kendall's failure to pay her bill, the waitress tweeted: ''That horrible moment you chase a Kardashian down the street because she forgot to pay her bill to be thrown money in your face.''

Kendall later denied the claims on Twitter.

She wrote: ''These rumors r absolutely ridiculous! I would never throw money in anyone's face or act that disrespectfully. I was raised better than that.

''Said it once and I'll say it again, don't believe everything you read! (sic)''
