Jurassic Dinosaurs To Prevail On Earth June 2015
One day after announcing a major executive shake-up, Universal Studios provided a few details about what some analysts are predicting will likely become one of the studio's biggest box-office hits ever. The fourth Jurassic Park movie, it said, will be titled Jurassic World, and it will be released by Universal on June 12, 2015, a date that Disney recently abandoned for the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Although the studio had initially indicated that it would be released next year, it said last May that it would postpone that date until 2015 in order to provide the best possible version of the fourth installment. Britain's Guardian newspaper commented today (Wednesday) that the film has been languishing in development hell for more than a decade. The sequel will be directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed). Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two films in the 20-year-old franchise, will serve as executive producer. The three initial Jurassic Park movies have collectively earned more than $1.9 billion worldwide.
