Iggy Azalea - Iggy Azalea has girl crush on Scarlett Johansson

Iggy Azalea has a girl crush on Scarlett Johansson.

The 'Fancy' singer admits she has an obsession with the Hollywood screen siren and watches her movies back-to-back so she can admire her stunning looks.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Iggy said: ''She's my woman crush forever. I love all her films because I watch them just to look at her. I'm in awe of her beauty on screen.''

The blonde star also revealed she admires one of the original female rappers, Missy Elliott because she comes up with her own music and doesn't follow trends.

Iggy, 24, said: ''She [Missy] doesn't conform to what people want her to be. She writes all her own lyrics, and when does that ever happen? She's a genius.''

Iggy then added that country queen Dolly Parton, soul legend Aretha Franklin and pop princess Beyoncé were on the top of her list of inspirational women.

She explained: ''[Beyoncé] has to be in there. She's amazing, she can do everything. Dolly's ridiculous, and I love that ... Aretha proved you can be seductive, sexy and strong without the image of typical glamour.''

The 47 year-old actor let slip about Azalea's role in the movie during an interview with French radio channel Skyrock FM while doing press for 'Guardians of the Galaxy.' "Iggy Azalea, I just worked with her two weeks ago," he said when asked if he would rather dance to 'Fancy,' 'Wiggle' or 'Problem.'

"I guess you'll be the first person that knows this - we casted her in 'Fast & Furious 7,'" he added. "So I guess I'm going to be loyal to Iggy."

The seventh film in the car racing franchise is scheduled to be released on April 3rd 2015, and will also feature the returning Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Elsa Pataky, Lucas Black and the late Paul Walker.

Last month it was also reported that Cody, who must be impressing the filmmakers while shooting 'Fast 7,' is set to star in additional films as his own character.

"Paul's character Brian O'Conner will be seen retiring, while his younger brother will join the crew," a source said at the time. "Of course, Cody isn't a replacement for Paul in any way, but the producers were really grateful that he stepped in to help them finish this last film and Cody so likeable and charming. It would be a tribute to Paul that Cody carries on the Walker name in the Fast and The Furious movies."

Weird Al Scores First U.S Number 1 With New Album 4299454 News

The album was released only one week ago and sold 103,000 copies to secure the top spot. 'Mandatory Fun' is Weird Al Yankovic's fourteenth studio album, so he will surely be happy his efforts have finally paid off. It is also the first comedy album to reach the top spot since Allan Sherman's 1963 release 'My Son, The Nut'. Previously the closest Al had come was a Number 2 with 1996 single 'Amish Paradise'.

Weird Al announced his new album with a week-long celebration, posting a new music video and single to his website every day for eight days. The comedy star is known for his parodies of popular songs, including 'Eat It' (Michael Jackson's 'Beat It') and 'In Da Tub' (50 Cent's 'In Da Club') and his "polkas" which are creative mash-ups of various pop songs set to a jaunty tune. The new album sees artistics including Pharrell and Iggy Azalea get the paraody treatment, with Williams' song 'Happy' becoming 'Tacky', an ode to bad fashion choices, and Azalea's 'Fancy' becoming 'Handy', a tune about being good at DIY.

One of the highlights from his new album is the Robin Thicke 'Blurred Lines' paraody, 'Word Crimes', which gives listeners a valuable lesson in using correct grammar and spelling.

Iggy Azalea
Is Weird Al's parody of 'Fancy' as catchy as the original? Yes. Yes it is.

However, paraodies of popular songs have been rife in the past few years since Al's last album was released in 2011, and video sharing sites such as Vevo and Youtube make it easier than ever for anyone to produce some musical comedy. Al spoke about the issue with NPR.org and hinted he may soon follow suit and think about new ways to release his tracks.

"I have to be careful about [saying it's my last album] that, because a lot of people listen to that and say 'Oh, Al's retiring!'" Yankovic explained. "I am not retiring, I intend to keep making music like I have in the past. All I'm saying is, there's a pretty good chance this is the last conventional album."

Beyonce, Iggy Azalea and Eminem Lead the Way in VMA Nominations 4290289 News

The nominations have been announced for the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, and no one is surprised that Beyonce is a front runner with a staggering eight nominations for various videos from her fifth album, Beyoncé. Close behind with seven nods apiece are Eminem and newcomer Iggy Azalea. Beyonce has been nominated for an impression fifty VMAs in the past and has walked away with twelve, whilst Eminem also holds an impressive eleven "Moonman" trophies.

Beyonce KnowlesBeyonce's videos for tracks including 'Drunk In Love', 'Pretty Hurts' and 'Partition' are nominated

Her fifth album was released in a surprise move at the end of last year, with all tracks accompanied by music videos, so Beyonce will no doubt be thrilled that the risky move has paid off.

Iggy Azalea made headlines earlier this year when she shot to the top of the U.S Billboard Charts with 'Fancy', including a video inspired by 90's romcom cult classic Clueless. Soon after she made chart history as the first artist since The Beatles to simultaneously hold the first and second spots on the U.S Chart when Ariana Grande's track 'Problem', on which she features, went to Number 2.

The VMA nominees this year are a diverse bunch, but refreshingly it's the girls that are leading the pack with only one male artist nominated for Video of the Year; Pharrell's 'Happy'. The other four nominees for the top prize are Beyoncé ft. Jay Z with 'Drunk In Love', Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX with 'Fancy', Miley Cyrus's 'Wrecking Ball' and perhaps the underdog of the category, 'Chandelier' by Sia, who took to Twitter to express her excitement.

British hopefuls include Ed Sheeran, whose single 'Sing' is vying for Best Male Video, and Sam Smith, nominated for Artist to Watch.

The 2014 Music Video Awards will take place on August 24th in the Forum in Inglewood California, and will be broadcast worldwide on MTV.

The festival will be held in both Philadelphia, where it has been held for the past two years, and also in Los Angeles for the first time. Kanye West will be headlining in Philadelphia on Saturday 30th August alongside such acts as Tiesto and The National. He will continue on to the Los Angeles part of the festival on Sunday 31st August where he will be joined by John Mayer and Rita Ora amongst others. Whilst back in Philadelphia, the Kings of Leon will headline on the Sunday with the likes of Pharrell Williams and Steve Aoki.

The first day of the Los Angeles festival will be headlined by Imagine Dragons and Iggy Azalea will also be performing alongside. Unusually for a music festival, the headliners are very different depending on the location with West's appearances in both Philadelphia and Los Angeles seemingly unusual compared with the other acts. Azalea will only be appearing in Los Angeles, according to USA Today.

Australian born Azalea has surprised the world of hip-hop music with her sky rocketing career. Although the 24-year-old has been attempting to build a career for herself for the past eight years, her appearances in 2013 including supporting Beyoncé and her 2014 track 'Fancy' have arguably ensured she is currently one of the biggest names.

Most recently Azalea appeared at the ESPY Awards with her LA Lakers player boyfriend Nick Young on Wednesday evening (16th July). Azalea also performed 'Fancy' at the event which honours members of the sporting community and she took this into account by wearing a matching black and turquoise crop top and leggings set.

Iggy Azalea Joined By Rita Ora For 'Black Widow' At Wireless 2014 4275663 News

Rapper Iggy Azalea was joined by her presumed new BFF Rita Ora on stage during London's Wireless Festival on Friday (July 4th 2014).

The pair were wearing very little for their surprise duet; Iggy showing off most of her bod in a black Chromat bralet with black underwear and mesh shorts, while Rita had unzipped her heavy print cropped jacket to reveal a simple black bra underneath (though she did at least cover up with a skirt on the bottom half).

The duo performed a much appreciated rendition of Iggy's latest single 'Black Widow' with her collaborator at the event; a song that was co-written by Katy Perry, Sarah Hudson, Benny Blanco and duo StarGate.

The track appeared on Iggy's US Rap Chart number one debut album 'The New Classic', released earlier this year and which also featured collaborations with Charli XCX, T.I., Mavado and Watch The Duck.

Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea - Problem Single Review 4275587 Reviews

Former Nickelodeon actress Ariana Grande has landed her very first number one alongside Iggy Azalea with her collaborative new tune 'Problem'. And not only that, she's even made history by becoming the first chart topper to also succeed in having the most streams in accordance to the reformed Official Singles Chart. It presents high hopes for her forthcoming second album 'My Everything' due out later this summer - but goodness knows why.

'Problem' opens with a quirky, celebratory trumpet and Iggy Azalea outlining her hip hop influence with her brief introduction. Ariana then breaks in with an impressively bland, generic pop verse, frequenting such unusually sung lines as 'baby' and 'I want you'. You have to hand it to her, her voice does reach some unbelievable heights throughout, but in a song so void of feeling and originality, it seems so wasted.

As the chorus approaches, you've got the attempt at sexiness with the whispered 'I got one less problem without ya' which just feels painfully cheesy. Iggy's entrance hardly feels like an improvement either, with her highly predictable spin on Jay-Z's '99 Problems': 'I got 99 problems but you won't be one' - seriously?! It's true Iggy can spit with epic speed, but she's hardly going to change hip hop.

Sure, 'Problem' is a catchy tune, but then repeating the same line over and over again ('One less, one less problem') is clearly going to stick in the listener's head - unfortunately, not in a good way. The only attention grabbers of the track are the minimally backed, elevating bridges which display Ariana's voice beautifully, and the scattered trumpet between verses which adds a funky, regrettably brief, Motown feel.

'Problem' is an upbeat pop anthem designed purely for dancing (and making money) with it's heavily recycled disco beat and unimaginative lyrics. Ariana Grande is not your usual Nickelodeon-to-popstar story in that, well, she can actually sing really well, but I just can't shake the feeling that I've heard this track with several different names about a million times before.

Was Iggy Azalea Slimmed Down By Cosmopolitan's Using Photoshop? 4271716 News

Australian singer Iggy Azalea has been the focus of a photoshopping scandal after she appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan Australia. The star certainly didn't need slimming down and boasts a pair of toned, well muscled legs which certainly seem slimmer in her recent shoot with the magazine.

Iggy Azalea
Has Iggy Azalea been slimmed down for the cover of Cosmo?

Wearing a pastel coloured playsuit in blues, pink, white and gold the 24-year-old singer posed with her hands on her hips. The singer was accessorised with a pair of large gold earrings, gold bracelets and a number of gold rings. Azalea wore her air in a high pony tail for the shoot. Although she looked fabulous, there did seem to be a little of her missing.

However, Cosmo has denied they used photoshop in order to alter Azalea's image. Speaking to the Mail, the magazine said "It goes against our body love policy to remove inches from anyone's body - whether it's a celebrity, a model or a reader appearing in the magazine. We think Iggy is fantastic and should be celebrated, which is why we've put her on the cover of Cosmo."

Azalea is yet to address comments about her Cosmo cover but has addressed another scandal which has been brewing since Sunday's BET awards when Nicki Minaj gave a speech which has been interpreted as being critical of Azalea. Both Minaj and Azalea were up for Best Female Hip Hop Artist but Minaj took the award home. As CNN reports, Azalea responded to the apparent attack and said she was "unbothered" (not actually a word by the way) by the awards or what seemingly happened there.

Minaj has also emphasised that she meant no disrespect and was not addressing Azalea in her acceptance speech. She tweeted that "The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing because I believe in us!" She added "I've congratulated Iggy on the success of 'Fancy,' publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should be proud."

Arcade Fire at Glastonbury

Glastooo!: You'd have had to have been living under 17 rocks on the other side of the world to avoid the constant Glastonbury Festival coverage. Arcade Fire at Glastonbury

Glastooo!: You'd have had to have been living under 17 rocks on the other side of the world to avoid the constant Glastonbury Festival coverage. Feud? Nicki Minaj Takes A Swipe At Iggy Azalea At BET Awards 4266584 News

Nicki Minaj and her relationship with fellow rapper Iggy Azalea are the subject of speculation today after it emerged that Nicki made some offhand, and rather pointed remarks at last night's BET Awards. The 'Superbass' singer picked up the Best Female Hip Hop award at the event but seemed to detonate a pretty heavy diss during her acceptance speech.

The self-aggrandising rap singer wanted to set a few things straight during her speech and sai "What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is, that when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it." Immediately, the room took Nicki's words as venom against Iggy Azalea, who is rumoured to use ghost writers.

As everyone laughed and looked shocked, Nicki immediately tried to retract what she said, "No, no, no shade. No, no, no shade." However, like it or not, the diss had been made.

Minaj seems to have been referring to the controversy over Iggy's talent; she's listed as a co-writer on her hit single and on Ariana Grande's 'Problem,' but not on other songs 'Fancy' and 'Change Your Life.'

When Iggy performed 'Fancy' during the show, Nicki was spotted dancing in a rather sarcastic manner, which has been immortalised in a Vine, courtesy of Consequence of Sound. During the same speech, Nicki also made some confusing remarks about having had a recent near-death experience.

"The other day, literally I didn't tell anybody this, I really thought I was about to die," she said. "Like, I was saying my prayers to die. And I didn't even want to call the ambulance because I thought, 'Well if I call the ambulance, it's going to be on TMZ.'

"I would rather sit there and die. And it made me realise I don't care what anybody got to say. I'm going to do me." Strangely, she didn't elaborate on how she almost died but seeing as she decided to tell the world anyway, not calling for help seems kinda pointless.
