Harrison Ford - Harrison Ford And Tom Hardy Help Launch Royal Marines Challenge

Actors Harrison Ford and Tom Hardy helped support elite British military unit the Royal Marines by launching a drum roll world record attempt.

Ford, who will be reprising his Han Solo role in the next Star Wars movie, was joined by the British actor at the Tower of London in the capital on Wednesday (30Apr14) to support the Royal Marines Corps of Drums' challenge.

The marines will attempt to break the world record for the longest group drum roll and plan to attempt a continuous beat from Wednesday to Saturday morning (03May14), with each drummer playing 15 minutes at a time.

The challenge marks the 350th anniversary of the respected regiment, and The Dark Knight Rises star Hardy was happy to launch the event, saying, "As a huge supporter of the Royal Marines, I wanted to show my continued support to these professionals in their 350th year and it is an honour to be invited to start this epic challenge."
