Harrison Ford - Harrison Ford and Ridley Scott bury hatchet

Harrison Ford and Ridley Scott appear to have buried the hatchet.

The pair fell out during the filming of 1982's 'Blade Runner' but they met at restaurant 34 in London's Mayfair and made amends over a meal on Tuesday night (10.06.14) which lasted four hours and this has sparked rumours that Ford is set to reprise his role as Rick Deckard in the forthcoming sequel to the dystopian epic.

According to The Sun newspaper, ''the two stars later stumbled out together and parted with a hug - the biggest indication yet that bounty hunter Rick Deckard is set to make a return to the big screen.''

Casting in the original for the role of Deckard seemed troublesome. Screenwriter Hampton Fancher envisioned Robert Mitchum, but Scott and the film's producers were in talks with Dustin Hoffman at one point, but they parted ways after having different ideas on how to portray the character.

Ford was ultimately chosen but there was friction between him and Ridley while they filmed the sci-fi picture, and in 1992 the actor revealed: ''Blade Runner is not one of my favourite films. I tangled with Ridley.''

However, Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, founders of Alcon Entertainment, who are developing the movie, recently made it clear that they want the 71-year-old star to be part of the follow-up.

They said: ''We would be honoured, and we are hopeful, that Harrison will be part of our project.''
