Tv - Garth Ancier Calls For Sex Abuse Lawsuit To Be Dismissed

Tv executive Garth Ancier has filed a motion to dismiss a sex abuse lawsuit against him.

Legal action was launched against Ancier in April (14) accusing him and three other men of sexually abusing Michael Egan in Hawaii in 1999, when Egan was still a teenager.

Documents filed with the U.S. District Court of Hawaii on Thursday (29May14) state Egan's claims are "demonstrably false" as Ancier, who denies the allegations, has never been in Hawaii with the complainant and names three witnesses who can testify the former Nbc executive did not travel to the islands during the period in question.

The motion also cites testimony by Egan in a separate case in 2000 in which he states he did not go on trips outside the U.S. mainland.

X-Men director Bryan Singer and Broadway producer Gary Goddard, both of whom are also facing lawsuits from Egan, filed similar motions requesting dismissal in May (14).
