Survivor - French Reality Show To Return After Contestant's Death

France's version of hit reality franchise Survivor will return to Tv next year (14) after a death during filming prompted producers to pull the plug on the 2013 series.

Network bosses at Tf1 cancelled the 16th season of Koh-Lanta in March (13) after contestant Gerald Babin, 25, suffered a cardiac arrest and died on the first day of filming in Cambodia.

A manslaughter investigation was launched amid tabloid claims that the producers of the show delayed Babin's medical care so as not to interfere with filming.

Dr. Thierry Costa, the physician who cleared Babin to compete on the show, committed suicide just days after the contestant died.
