David Mamet - David Mamet Developing Tv Series Based On Seven Deadly Sins

Playwright and screenwriter David Mamet is drawing inspiration from the Bible for a new Tv mini-series about the seven deadly sins.

The Untouchables scribe will executive produce the show for America's Fox network, and will serve as writer and director on the first hour-long episode.

He will also be in charge of writing at least two more of the seven installments, reports industry publication Variety.com.

The episodes will deal with the themes of lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride.

Casting details and an air date for 7 Deadly Sins have yet to be announced.
