David Bowie - David Bowie School Films Tribute Video
Pupils at David Bowie's former school have feted the institution's most famous student by creating a tribute video in his honour.
Pupils at the Ravens Wood School in the London suburb of Bromley, known as Bromley Technical High School when Bowie was studying there, teamed up with the experts behind the superstar's hugely popular exhibition at the city's Victoria and Albert Museum to put together a fitting tribute.
The film, titled David Bowie is... one of us, features a teenage student portraying Bowie in his younger years and it was shot in school locations where the singer studied and played guitar.
Adrian Deakes, of the Victoria and Albert Museum, says, "It's been a pleasure working with... the school and their students. Although they were obviously aware that Bowie was an ex-pupil, I think they were amazed by how the exhibition highlights his world influence and how wide-ranging this has been. I think the film, from the costumes, to the make-up, to the music and choreography really reflects that."
A message posted on Bowie's official website describes the film as a "wonderful little tribute".
