Daniel Radcliffe admits 'Harry Potter' made him slightly ''cocky''.
The 24-year-old star - who shot to fame playing the boy wizard when he was just 11 years old - says his experience on film sets made him more confident, so he wasn't afraid to stand up for himself, which led to more problems.
Asked if he was bullied because of his fame, he said: ''Yeah I guess, and also because I was 14 and ... not cocky, but I was definitely aware I'd spent more time around adults than anyone else in school had.
''If somebody picked on me, I'd say something back to them and I think that probably came across as cocky. So I didn't do myself any favours but I'm not just going to sit there and take it.''
Daniel also admitted he is surprised to be offered so many roles as an outsider with a troubled family because he had such a stable upbringing.
He told Attitude magazine: ''I think Billy in [stage production] 'The Cripple of Irishmaan' is the fourth or fifth orphan I've played, and nearly everyone comes from a screwed up family situation, and I've probably had the happiest home life of everyone I know.''
