Chris Pine and Christoph Waltz are wanted for 'Horrible Bosses 2'.

The 'Star Trek Into Darkness' hunk and 'Django Unchained' star are producers' top picks to play the titular employers in the comedy sequel, which will see Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jason Bateman reprise their roles from the first film.

According to Deadline, Pine and Waltz would play an evil father-and-son duo who find themselves incurring the lead characters' wrath. It's thought Waltz is unlikely to be available for filming, but Pine is considered more likely.

Movie bosses are hoping to top the mean bosses seen in the hit 2011 original, including Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Aniston, who were all targeted by their disgruntled employees in the dark comedy.

'That's My Boy' director Sean Anders was recently confirmed to helm the sequel, which will be released in November 2014.

It was reported earlier this year that Jamie Foxx - who starred alongside Waltz in Quentin Tarantino's Oscar-winning 'Django Unchained' - is in talks to return as Dean ''Mother*****h'' Jones, who acted as a mentor to distressed workers Nick (Bateman), Dale Arbus (Day) and Kurt Buckman (Sudeikis).
