Singer/actress Charice Pempengco has pulled out of a Christmas concert in her native Philippines due to vocal problems.

The former Glee star had been booked to perform as part of the Abs-Cbn Tv network's annual holiday bash in Quezon City on Tuesday (10Dec13), but the 21 year old took to her Twitter.com blog on Sunday (08Dec13) to reveal that she would no longer be part of the line-up, which includes Filipino Journey singer Arnel Pineda.

She retweeted a post from her manager, Glenn Aldueza, which read: "(Pempengco) can't make it for ABS Xmas special. Dr. advice to rest her voice (sic). Get well soon. apology chasters (Charice fans)".

Pempengco has yet to share any specific details about her ailment, which emerges days after reports suggested she had attempted to commit suicide over financial difficulties.

Her estranged maternal grandmother, Teresita Relucio, told a local news station that the youngster had slit her wrists, although she gave no timeline as to when the incident is said to have occurred.

Pempengco has yet to issue an official statement about the accusations, although she appeared to dismiss the claims by urging fans to, "Forget the bs (bulls**t)", as she promoted another concert in the Philippines.
