Welsh opera star Bryn Terfel has has a train carriage named in his honour.

The singer helped to unveil the specially-dedicated Snowdon Mountain Railway cart in the city of Llanberis, Wales on Thursday (10Apr14) and revealed he was flattered by the recognition, which has only been presented to one other person before - former British Cycling director Sir Dave Brailsford.

Terfel, who was also presented with a bronze medal to mark the occasion, says, "It fills me with incredible pride to have a carriage named after me and I can't wait to travel in it to the summit."
