Bryan Singer - Bryan Singer Files To Dismiss Second Sex Abuse Case

Moviemaker Bryan Singer has filed a motion to dismiss a teen sex abuse suit filed against him, insisting there is no legal basis for the case.

A British actor identified only as John Doe 117 filed the legal complaint against the X-Men director in May (14), shortly after another plaintiff, Michael Egan, sued Singer and three others, accusing them of sexual abuse at parties when he was a teenager.

Egan has since withdrawn the suits against Broadway producer Gary Goddard and Hollywood executives Garth Ancier and David Neuman, who all denied the allegations, and last month (Jun14), Ancier sued Egan and his attorneys for malicious prosecution and abuse of process.

Goddard, who is also a defendant in the John Doe suit, filed a motion to dismiss that case last month (Jun14).

Singer is also seeking $300,000 (£176,470) to cover his litigation costs.
