Bruce Springsteen - Bruce Springsteen plays Born in the USA in full
The iconic musician treated fans at Hard Rock Calling to a performance of his album 'Born in the USA' as he played through the record in its entirety.
Bruce Springsteen played 'Born in the U.S.A.' in its entirety at Hard Rock Calling.
The legendary rocker treated fans at the festival to a three-hour headline set last night (30.06.13) which included a performance of his iconic album in full.
The 63-year-old singer - joined by the E Street Band - returned to the event for the second consecutive year after their set was cut short in 2012 while Bruce was performing a duet with Sir Paul McCartney.
The Boss fed off a huge crowd at Hard Rock Calling's new home at London's Olympic Park and even played a couple of requests after spotting signs asking for 'Johnny 99' and 'Reason to Believe'.
Deep into the set he launched into the title track from 'Born in the USA', which he recently played in full as a tribute to the late 'Sopranos' star James Gandolfini.
Not only joined by a young girl from the crowd - who sat on Bruce's shoulders as she sang 'Waitin' On A Sunny Day' - the star's mother and younger sister joined him on stage for 'Dancing In The Dark'.
Even the structure of the set couldn't hinder its unpredictability as the set was brought to a close with an acoustic rendition of 'My Lucky Day' as the incredible musician continues to keep his intimacy despite his grand surroundings.
