Backstreet Boys - Backstreet Boys Donating Profits From Photo Exhibit To Sandy Relief Effort
The Backstreet Boys are turning an upcoming art exhibition with celebrity photographer Tyler Shields into a fundraiser by donating proceeds to the Superstorm Sandy recovery effort in New Jersey.
The I Want It That Way hitmakers hired Shields to take a series of fine art pictures for their latest album In A World Like This, and the shots are set to go on display for the first time at the Openhouse Mulberry gallery in New York this week (begs12Aug13).
The stars will attend a private viewing of the Album Artists show on Wednesday (14Aug13), before the exhibition opens to the public on Thursday (15Aug13).
Fans have been invited to purchase prints of the snaps, with some of the limited edition pictures, autographed by Shields and the bandmates, going for up to $1,500 (£1,000).
They have now announced profits from the photo sales will be handed over to officials at the Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, which aims to help victims rebuild their lives following the devastating storm which destroyed areas across the East Coast of America last October (12).
