The new-look Stone Temple Pilots, featuring Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, have scheduled another festival slot in Florida.
The group will co-headline the first annual Rockwave Festival in Fort Myers on 21 September (13) alongside Jane's Addiction.
Bennington was the surprise replacement for Scott Weiland when he was kicked out of the band earlier this year (13), and he has already played a couple of shows with the rock act.
In May (13), he told Rolling Stone magazine his side project looks set to become a semi-permanent thing.
The singer, who surprised fans when he stepped up to perform with Stone Temple Pilots at Los Angeles radio station Kroq's annual Weenie Roast in May (13), told the magazine that he's more than happy to front two major rock bands at the same time.
He explained, "When you get together and put a new piece in, there's a whole different energy. For us, the creative juices have just been flowing. We've been writing, we have tons of great ideas... It is a good position to be in, and for us, all we care about is going out, making the legacy as great as it needs to be, as great as people expect it to be, and coming out with new music that lives up to that standard."
