Stevie Wonder is officially divorced from his second wife Kai Millard Morris, six years since their initial separation. According to People magazine the singer will now pay $25,000 a month in child support to Morris, for their two children Kailand, 14, and 10-year-old Mandla.

People reports that a Los Angeles judge finalised the former couple’s divorce on Monday, with the pair sharing joint custody of their two children. Wonder is also said to be allowed to take the boys on tour with him on a ‘limited basis’.

Wonder and Morris wed in 2001 and are said to have been separated since 2009, eventually filling for divorce back in 2012. Morris was Wonder’s second wife, with the singer previously being married to Motown singer and longtime collaborator Syreeta Wright, from 1970 to 1972.

The 65 year old singer has nine children in total, with five different woman. His youngest child Nia was born in December 2014, to girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy. Before Nia’s birth Wonder had laughed off reports that he was about to become a father to triplets.

"I got, how many, 22 kids? t's not true,” Wonder said during an appearance on ‘The View’. “The truth is we're going to have a wonderful daughter, born in December, [and her] name is going to be Nia, which is ‘purpose'."

Wonder is also said to have become a better father as he has grown older and has now developed closer bonds with his children. “Aisha [his oldest] enjoys her dad quite a bit, they get together and eat and joke,” a source told Page Six last year.

“He’s been helping [his son] Mumtaz with some of Mumtaz’s music and he always talks about how talented his son is. He knows that being a father is a full-time job and now that he’s a little older, he feels like he’s up to the task and he doesn’t want to let any of them down,” the source added.
