Rocker Steven Tyler is recovering after undergoing dental surgery to replace the two teeth he lost on Tuesday (25Oct11) following an accident in his hotel bathroom in Paraguay.
The Aerosmith frontman was hospitalised in Asuncion after slipping in the shower, knocking out his teeth and suffering cuts to his face, although his manager has played down the injuries as "minor".
After being discharged from a medical centre, Tyler paid a visit to top dentist Maria Bastos to fix his smile. Bastos tells a local radio station her famous patient is "doing splendidly" as he recovers from the operation.
Tyler's reps have blamed dehydration, caused by a bout of food poisoning, for his shower collapse, according to Tmz.com.
His accident forced Aerosmith to reschedule their Tuesday night concert in the country. The show will now be staged on Wednesday (26Oct11).
