New Order's Bernard Sumner says ex-bassist Peter Hook has ''left a bad taste'' in his mouth due to the way he left the band.

The 'Bizarre Love Triangle' hitmakers are set to release their first new studio album in 10 years when 'Music Complete' on Friday (25.09.15) and their first without Hook, who left the band acrimoniously in 2007.

Sumner think's it must be ''boring'' for their fans constantly hearing Hook's hateful comments towards the band, but he feels bad for him that he can't move on.

New Order have unveiled the first song from their new album.

Then band - featuring Bernard Sumner, STEPHEN MORRIS, Gillian Gilbert, Phil Cunningham and Tom Chapman - have premiered 'Restless' online, with the track being their first new material to be recorded since bassist Peter Hook left the group in 2007.

The track has been taken from their forthcoming album 'Music Complete' - set to be released on September 25 - which will feature collaborations with The Killers' Brandon Flowers on 'Superheated', La Roux's Elly Jackson on 'Tutti Frutti' and 'People on the High Line' and Iggy Pop on 'Stray Dog'.

Brandon Flowers and Iggy Pop will feature on New Order's new album.

The rockers will be joined by The Killers frontman and 68-year-old singer/songwriter on their forthcoming studio record 'Music Complete', which will be their first release in over a decade.

Brandon will feature on the LP's closing track 'Superheated' - having originally named his band after a group in New Order's video for their 2001 hit 'Crystal' - while Iggy has provided his vocals to brooding song 'Stray Dog' after joining them on stage in New York last year.

New Order Confirm Release Details Of First Album In Ten Years

Indie legends New Order have confirmed more details of their new album, their first in ten years, including its title and release date. Music Complete will be out on September 25th this year, available on Mute Records.

As well as being their first album of brand new material since 2005’s Waiting For The Sirens’ Call (2013’s Lost Sirens was an LP of offcuts from the same sessions), it is their first since the acrimonious departure of Peter Hook in 2007.

A teaser for Music Complete can be seen below, the clip of which contains the album’s artwork which has been supplied by Peter Saville, the original graphic designer for the band and their original record label Factory.

New Order Signs Record Deal With Mute

New Order has signed a worldwide deal with Mute.

The English rock band, which was formed in 1980 following the demise of Joy Division, has inked a contract with the legendary independent label and is planning to release its tenth studio album next year.

The group said: ''New Order are delighted to be signing to Mute. We couldn't imagine a better place to be than working with Daniel Miller and his team.

Lead singer Bernard Sumner has hinted at the possibility of working with the former LCD Soundsystem star in the near future.

Talking to the website, Consequence Of Sound, he shared: ''I can't talk about any of that just yet, but there is news, we're in the process.''

Fans have paid tribute to JOY DIVISION's Ian Curtis, who died 32 years ago today (18.05.12).

Lovers of the post-punk British band have taken to twitter to remember the singer, who committed suicide on May 18 1980 at the age of 23.

Joy Division has become a Top 10 trend on the social networking site, where moving tributes to the legendary frontman are flooding in.

Peter Hook wants to "bury the hatchet" with his New Order bandmates.

The bass player launched a venomous attack on Bernard Sumner, STEPHEN MORRIS and Gillian Gilbert in October over them reforming their band without him to play two benefit shows in Belgium and France.

While he initially claimed he wanted to "f**k over New Order in any way he could," he has now cooled and would rather make peace.

The bassist is furious his former bandmates Bernard Sumner, STEPHEN MORRIS and Gillian Gilbert are reforming to play two charity shows in Belgium and Paris without him this month and has vowed to do anything he can to ruin it.
