Fashion designer Stella Mccartney has switched fabric for plastic to design a new account card. The bizarre commission by private bank Coutts + Co sees Sir Paul McCartney's creative daughter produce a swirling blue pattern merging banknotes with the British countryside. She says, "It was refreshing to be asked by Coutts to design something I have never done before. "It is a design area that has been overlooked in the past and it's about time you get to spend your hard earned money with an account card that looks good." The card will be offered to both new and existing customers at the bank, which is part of the The Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
