English Electro/Alternative band Stateless, who were born out of a Creative Music and Sound Technology course at Leeds Met School of Technology back in 2002, are back with a new single 'I'm On Fire' featuring the haunting vocal talents of Shara Worden (lead singer and songwriter for My Brightest Diamond).
Since signing with infamous Indie label Ninja Tune last year the band have released an eleven track second album 'Matilda' in February 2011 which was recorded by the band themselves then given to Damian Taylor (Bjork, The Prodigy) for production and mixing, 'I'm On Fire' featuring Shara Worden is the third release from the album.
Stateless only got together with Shara Worden through a chance meeting backstage at a TV show, in Manchester, UK where Shara was performing with her band 'My Brightest Diamond'. After hearing Shara's voice Stateless main-man Chris James wrote the song specifically for her to duet on.
Stateless, in the past, have been likened to artists such as Radiohead, Portishead and DJ Shadow and both Radiohead's and Portishead's dark brooding uncomfortable beauty is present in 'I'm On Fire'.
