The actor, who plays Han Solo in the sci-fi franchise, reportedly told fans, "I'm fine. I walked here so how bad can it be?"

Ford broke his ankle and pelvis when he crashed a vintage plane onto a golf course in Venice, California, but appears to have recovered well from the injuries.

He appeared on a panel at the annual world-famous comic book exhibition alongside original Star Wars trilogy cast members Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, who play Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. The trio will reprise its roles in J.J. Abrams' sequel, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, which is set for release on 18 December (15).

Ford said of his return to the sci-fi saga, "It should have felt ridiculous... It was 30 plus years ago, and I sort of grew up. Yet here I was. I will tell you that it felt great."
