Former Star Trek actor James Doohan will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday (31AUG04).

The 84-year-old star, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in the summer (04), played SCOTTY in the cult show.

He will also be honoured at a Star Trek convention and gala this weekend (27/28AUG04).

Original stars William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy and Nichelle Nichols will attend, along with former astronaut Neil Armstrong and STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION's LeVAR BURTON.
