Spector - Chevy Thunder (Live)

London four-piece Spector perform an energetic live version of their track 'Chevy Thunder' at the intimate Birthdays venue in East London. The track is from their 2012 debut album 'Enjoy It While It Lasts'.

The video footage from the gig certainly shows the band getting involved with their audience; singer Fred Macpherson (who used to sing for Les Incomp├ętents and Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man) engages with the crowd by standing amongst them and grabbing people's hands. Their charismatic persona is reflected well in the song which is a dynamic mix of classic-sounding guitar solos, an infectious chorus and retro synth tones.

Spector's show took place as part of the 2013 Dr. Martens #StandForSomething Tour - and this band certainly know what it is they stand for. 'We stand for trying to break down any of the few, outdated, remaining barriers between being in an indie band and being a pop group in the 21st Century', said Fred. 'We stand for entertainment; the recognition that with art and bands, entertainment sits in the middle. There's as much truth in entertainment as there is in art. We stand for being honest with yourself, and enjoying what you enjoy. There is no shame. Like what you like."
