Sparrow and the Workshop's new single, 'Faded Glory', will be released as a digital download on October 10th. It is the second single to be taken from their acclaimed album, 'Spitting Daggers', which was released in April 2011.
The video for Faded Glory was directed by the band's drummer, Gregor. Set in an allotment, it features a feud between several farmers, that results in a bitter clash.
Since their formation in 2008, Sparrow and the Workshop have toured with the likes of Idlewild, British Sea Power, The Lemonheads, Brian Jonestown Massacre and Broken Records. They also played the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury 2009 and performed at a number of gigs throughout 2010, such as: T in the Park; Hop Farm Festival and Bestival.
Both of Sparrow and the Workshop's albums have received positive acclaim from critics. The lead single from Spitting Daggers, 'Snake in the Water' received support from BBC 6Music and DJ Lauren Laverne.
The band completed a headline tour in June and has recently played at festivals such as RockNess and Secret Garden Party.
