Rockers Soundgarden kicked off their reunion tour in Toronto, Canada on Saturday (02Jul11), 14 years after they last hit the road.
The group, led by frontman Chris Cornell, put aside their differences last year (10) to play a one-off show in their hometown of Seattle, Washington and headline the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, Illinois, before announcing plans to head out on their first full tour since 1997.
The band took fans at the Molson Amphitheatre back to their 1990s heyday with a 21-strong setlist lasting two hours, including renditions of hits such as Black Hole Sun and Fell on Black Days.
Soundgarden will go on to perform a string of dates across North America over the coming weeks, including stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Vancouver, Canada.
